Creep Properties of Mudstone Interlayer in Bedded Salt Rock Energy Storage Based on Multistage Creep Test: A Case Study of Huai’an Salt Mine, Jiangsu Province

چکیده
Salt rock is internationally recognized as an excellent medium for energy storage. However, most of the domestic salt mines are lacustrine laminated formations with mudstone interlayers, which have different creep characteristics to pure rocks. Therefore, in this paper, uniaxial compression tests were carried out on a interlayer Huai’an, Jiangsu, China, and multistage mechanical behavior was investigated using acoustic emission (AE) technology. The results show that at low stress levels, axial deformation greater than lateral deformation. As increase level, becomes more significant, corresponding steady-state rates both exhibit nonlinear acceleration loading stress. In initial stage each releases large number AE signals. After stabilization, signals decreased obviously, released last level. Based test data, improved fractional viscoelastic-plastic model fitted it compared Nishihara model. applicability also tested, found be good description after oil erosion. research reflected law certain extent expected serve reference studies long-term stability surrounding bedded

Presenting an experimental creep model for rock salt
During the recent decades, the design and construction of underground spaces into rock salt have been particularly regarded for storing petroleum fluids, natural gas, and compressed air energy, and also for disposing nuclear and chemical wastes. The rock salt hosting such spaces will be subjected to various types of monotonic/cyclic, short-term/long-term stresses during the construction and/or ...

15 صفحه اولA Nonlinear Creep-damage Constitutive Model of Mudstone Based on the Fractional Calculus Theory
During the flood development in an oil field, the creep characteristic of mudstone is one of the important factors causing casing damage. In this study, based on the theory of fractional order differential and taking into account the creep damage evolution rules, a fractional nonlinear creep-damage model is proposed to reflect the instantaneous deformation in loading processes and the accelerat...

15 صفحه اولDevelopment of a new creep testing equipment to obtain long-term deformation parameters of salt rocks
Creep phenomenon in rock engineering plays a key role in development of underground spaces as they must be stable enough for a long period of time. Current research involved designing and manufacturing of a new creep testing machine. The equipment is capable to perform simultaneous light-duty creep tests on more than one cylindrical rock samples at a very low cost.To evaluate the equipment’s pe...
